I kept thinking, 'Man, this thing could be bigger if I just had more time.' But, obviously, I was scared to go out on my own...

"I got laid off from my six-figure job in San Francisco. I told my wife that evening, and when she asked what I was going to do I told her I was thinking about working for myself. I had been working on my company as a side-project since 2013 but I wasn't really putting too much time into it. I kept thinking, 'Man, this thing could be bigger if I just had more time.' But, obviously, I was scared to go out on my own. I was never one of those kids that was buying pencils for 50 cents and then selling them for a dollar at school. So, being pushed out of the nest, so to speak, from my previous job was a blessing. I hit the ground running and within three weeks had replaced my salary with cash flow. I've never looked back. There have been ups and downs, and bumps and bruises, and hard lessons, but it's been worth it. My wife and I just had a new baby and I love that I got to be at home with her the first couple weeks. Now that I'm back in my office, I'm more focused than ever and excited about getting home every night. I think this is the most balanced I've ever felt, professionally. And I love how present I get to be for my family."⠀

    great story!

and kudos to John too, I reached out to him for a question that I thought could have been within the scope of what he was offering. it was not. however, he went way out of his way to help me, and followed up as well after the fact to see if i had solved the problem. so awesome to hear the story behind the current success.

So cool! Congratulations to you, and glad to see you found yourself in Colorado and have time to spend with loved ones. How did you get cash flow within three weeks? That's super awesome, I need to crack that code

For me it was a matter of reaching out to my network and picking up a few consulting contracts. It took a year to get Credo to six figures ARR (so, September 2016-ish) and we've ~4x'd since then.
