SINS OF THE FATHER is written by James L’Etoile. I first got a chance to interact with this author during a zoom call he was on with other authors. I loved how he interacted with readers and answered questions. I read my first book by him shortly after. Now he’s an author that goes to the top of my TBR when I see he has a new release.
This is part of the Detective Nathan Parker series but can be read as a stand alone. I’ve read all the books in the series so I was super excited about this one.

Red Dawn is a criminal enterprise. Parker finds himself deep in the case with everything to lose. This one is personal.
Well written with great character development. I was drawn into the story right away. The author does such an amazing job in crafting his characters and realistic storylines that you will not want to put it down.

Abbey is a Nashville Homicide Detective. She’s pulled off all other cases when a missing person case turns out to be the stepson of Jonathan Lee Thomas, a wealthy investor in the city's East Bank Project. Abbey is torn because some of the others are people that no one cares about.
Readers will see a lot of growth from Abbey in book two. However she still struggles with PTSD. She’s for a lot on her plate and the weight of the job threatens to crash down. This book drew me in right away.
This book is well written. The characters are well developed. I love seeing characters evolve in a series. This author will be one that goes to the top of my TBR with new releases.

This book grabbed me in as soon as I started reading. I didn’t want to put it down. Dakota may be my favorite Lansing character and I’m thrilled for a new series. Heart pounding suspense, forbidden attraction, danger at every turn. This needs to go to the top of your TBR pile asap.
