Who's looking for a cofounder in June 2019?

Being a solo founder is tough. Finding a co-founder who's a good match isn't much easier, but if both of you are on Indie Hackers already, that's a start!

Post below if you're looking for partner or a co-founder. Include things like…

  • your location, or if you're open to a remote partnership
  • whether or not you have an idea, or if you're open to one
  • if you've got an idea, info on how much progress you've made
  • the skills and experience you bring to the table vs what you're looking for
  • your values and goals (cofounders should be aligned on this stuff!)

It would be nice if IH had a "section for Cofounders" .. where you can search for someone base on skills, goals, values, etc.. ..Looking for co-founder in Marketing Growth/SEO section.

  2. 5

Am new here...mr Allen you have done a great job in creating these amazing platform.. I love the simplicity and the dark background color...I think a gig section should be added for people to create and post ideas and find co-founders. Thanks

Developer looking for another developer co-founder or a marketing/sales co-founder or both. @csallen is right - being a solo founder is 100% lonely.

I'm working on Meetingzero full time. And close to finishing the MVP. Would love to talk more if anyone is interested. More info on me:

    • Live in Washington DC area, will consider remote partnership but highly prefer colocation
    • Working on https://meetingzero.co
    • MVP will be done this month, have companies verbally agreed to pilots. Will be onboarding them as soon as the MVP is done.
    • I'm technical and can build anything in Meetingzero's immediate future. Going into full on marketing/sales mode soon, though, and I'm confident I'll crush it. ¯\(ツ)
    • Values - communication. If you're not feeling it on a certain day/week, I'd rather we talk about it rather than going dark on each other. If you're having doubts about something, let's talk it out.

Hey @gxespino have you seen any of Ray Dalio’s talks on radical transparency? His book Principles references a tool his company built to encourage feedback on meetings etc. Worth a look as seems to be crossover with what you’re doing.

      1. 1

Thanks! I haven't seen his talks but I'll be sure to check it out.

Hi @gxespino, I live in the DMV area also - Arlington, VA. I am a full stack developer working on a web builder platform called Vertex 360 (https://www.vertex360.co).

I'm not looking for a cofounder but would love to build up a small community of devs, marketers, and general entrepreneurs to meet regularly and share tips, feedback, advice etc. I have a WeWork membership in Rosslyn and would be happy to use the space every weekend for a small gathering. Would you be interested? If so, shoot me an email: [email protected]

You have an awesome landing page!

The only thing to change: fix the quality of the interface images
I, also, had troubles with quality after rotation of images, but after fixing it you'll really have an excellent landing.

      Hi Glenn,
Meetingzero sounds awesome and lots of meetings are something I've experienced at one point in my current job as well, although it's much better now. Love the design of the website too! It looks very clean and highlights the important features nicely.

This project sounds really interesting, so would love to chat with you more to see if I can help out as a developer. You can message me on Twitter if you want.

    You:
Full-stack mobile app developer hungry for an ambitious project - we are looking to reinvent the $100bn global sports betting industry. You will own the company's technology. We don't expect to generate revenue the first 4-6 months, so you should be comfortable working for sweat equity. Bonus points if you're a sports fan and/or in the SF Bay Area.

    Our company:
Aiming to disintermediate the sports betting industry. No one bets in a casino if they can place a bet with a friend (it's cheaper and more fun). Casinos/sportsbooks also ignore a core feature of being a sports fan: it's a social experience. We enable social competitions for sports fans in a free-to-play solution. UX has been designed and validated with early adopters via beautiful wireframes. Marketing, customer segmentation/acquisition strategies are in place.

    Our team:
2 seasoned business professionals. Our CEO has Wall Street/hedge funds experience enabling disintermediation. Our COO has management consulting & startup experience enabling scaling of the business. Both of our cofounders have extensive networks of friends that have already showed interest in this product and provided valuable feedback - sports fans make up nearly half the world's population and they tend to cluster within the same social networks.

We are missing the technical cofounder that will enable us to go to market in 1-2 months. If this appeals to you, please get in touch.

Developer with expertise in (Analytics/Marketing) looking for a developer co-founder.

    • Based in New York City, New York, USA and open to remote partnership.
    • Working on https://www.synotate.com
    • Currently built and managed by myself (code, server, marketing, analytics)
    • Expertise in Marketing and Analytics (Currently Senior Marketing Analyst @ Well-funded and large technology company, 7+ years experience) with development/server experience for 5+
    • Looking for an experienced developer (Node.js/React and Server Ops a plus) to pair with on development/product who is interested or passionate about the data space and the lack of solutions that are currently available for individuals to manage and comprehend insights.
    • The values that I would like to create at Synotate are people-focused and support driven. People working on a product should enjoy what they are doing and if that isn't the case then a company will not be successful and their valuable time has been wasted. Life is too short to work at a job you don't like and have experience from hospitality management, where I like to check-in and ensure this doesn't happen. Happy employees are as important to me as happy customers, which is why I believe that strong customer support is also needed at a company to succeed for the long run.
    • My goal is to turn Synotate into a data analysis workplace. You should be able to track business performance, answer any insights questions you have and ask those that haven't been answered without having to leave a platform and there aren't tools out there that do it all. I would like Synotate to fill that void.

I am looking for a cofounder.

I build business intelligence dashboards for substance abuse facilities. This helps them better manage their business (to ensure they stay in business). Measure which counselors are effective at what and teaching others based on this experience. Measure client population patterns. I have one paying client but am plugged into a network of 17 substance abuse facilities that are clients for another project.

My current client loves the solution we put together and wants to -in his own words- "show off" the work we've done together to:

    1. Demonstrate his facility's vision/leadership
    2. Help my business
I am in the middle of coordinating the conversation to politely ask him to move forward with showing this off.

Location: New Orleans, open to remote partnership

My skills: technical, developer, I built out the whole technical infrastructure and have one paying client. Also have some sales skills.

My values are transparency, creating true customer value, and helping substance abuse facilities deliver better care to their patients (through data). I want to build a product that my customers can't live without.

I am looking for somebody with marketing/sales experience to help grow my current customer base.

Hey people, I ll try to be short.

There is unlaunched side project of mine called Unsold.Design which is a digital marketplace for unique logos and illustrations. The designs are premium sold only once.

I spent 3-4 hardcore weeks of building it, with few hundred dollars investement. That is not important much.

What is important is that I am looking for collaborator partner who wanna lead, work, communicate trough this project.

I have network of more then half of million followers on Instagram in design niche which mean I have influence there. Over the last few years i worked, promoted, featured hundreds of designers, which mean designers will mostly be interested in joining this project, since they already have trust.

Anyway, they want to work with me on the project, but I don't have time to manage it. Why? Cause I already focusing on two main projects Automatio.co and UXstore.com, so I can't manage to work on it.

Basically, I have everything its need for this project except man power. I need someone who wanna work on this project as a partner (no salary and shit) but hard/smart work.

If you are that guy, reach me on email: [email protected] and from there we will move forward.

    ✋ I am looking for a cofounder!

I am a engineer/technical leader who is looking for a strong marketing/sales cofounder to help me launch a product in public and private schools in the US.

    • I am in Atlanta, GA, but would be open to a remote founder if it is the right person.
    • I have an idea and am open to other ideas.
    • The prototype is ~50% built
    • I am a very strong technical mind and I am looking for a marketing/sales savvy person to help launch my idea. My idea involves revolutionizing a certain aspect of school security, so I am looking to someone who can go infront of private and public school boards to sell the idea. Any one who has experience working with schools is a bonus.
    • Values: Communication, Honesty, and Security are significant values. My idea deals with personal information for both children and adults and the physical security of our children, so very open and honest individual who cares about security are very important to me.

Hey all, I’m looking for a a Co-Founder who lives in LA. I have one potential client that if they signup then I’m going to start building. Looking for a backend Node.js co-founder.

  17. 1

Hello everyone! I have developed a Google Sheets Add-on development framework that can be used to rapidly develop (or prototype) SaaS products using Google Sheets as the interface. I have two products built using this framework (Legendsheet.com and www.ghostwrench.net/convertplus). I am looking for a non-technical co-founder who can help me:

    1. Find opportunities to deploy this technology
    2. Get these add-ons into user’s “hands” (marketing / sales / customer acquisition). I don’t care how, but I don’t have a massive budget.

The MVP is complete, i have a decent looking website, everything is set up for someone who knows what they are doing to hit the ground running.

I am based in Denver, CO but I would rather have someone who can demonstrate proficiency in this area than someone local.

As far as goals for the business i am aiming for small and sustainable above all else. I am not aiming for VC funding. I also like the idea of making the company “remote first” because it’s good for the planet and good for mental health :).

If you are interested please don't hesitate to contact me, maybe tell me what your experience is and give me a few examples of what you have done in the past.

Hi All, I'm looking for a technical co-founder. We have a product, 1Brand, a brand marketing SaaS. We'll have customers in July. I'm technical and have very senior friends overseeing engineering details to build an MVP that can scale, but we need a founder to help scale to become a platform.

    • We're all remote. So, you will be too =)
    • We have a first product, but are configured as a Laboratory, so please bring your ideas
    • We're preparing for beta. Revenue model, marketing, etc all handled. We need help with the next feature and platform architecture
    • We're three co-founders, with product and marketing experience. We're all highly technical and data-driven in our roles.
    • We value people, work-life balance, creating community, integrity and transparency. If you're available soon, you can help us finalize these.

Hey All! My name is Gabriel, and I run AudioStaq. I'm looking for a technical lead. Right now we are launched but still have not done any major push. Knocking on doors to build up credibility. We are a double sided podcast platform mainly focused on enterprise, with about 2K MRR is SaaS subs, and over 200k in the pipeline for ad sales.

I'm in Baltimore MD. Open to remote partnership

Looking for someone who has experience with JS/Node and a serverless stack experience, google functions, cloudflare etc.

I'm a product manager, and developer, mostly front-end skillset. Some backend but probably don't want me to building scalable apps lol. I'm way more fit to be the marketing, selling, and close clients/raising money guy. As, i closed all our current partnerships.

    Hello!
    Courtland, thanks for the post.
    Who
An experienced dev that is crazy about code generation.
    Product
I'm building the web applications visual builder, called Caravel Studio www.caravelstudio.io
I launched the first version that allows to create simple interactive apps, download and deploy them. I don't have paid customers yet.
    Tech stack
The tech stack is Python/Flask for backend, Vuejs/webpack for frontend, PostgreSQL for db. The same tech stack is used for generated applications.
I expect from a person to be an experienced developer, I don't actually care about which exactly languages/libraries/frameworks you know. When I started this project I just touched Vuejs and Python a little bit. I would prefer to deal with just experienced dev.
    Goal
The goal is to create a visual tool for creating any applications quickly and without coding. It's not because I don't like coding but because there are too many ideas to be implemented and this tool should help with it.
    Values
My main value is people. So, a human should be in the center of everything. Not the company, not money, but just a human. If we talk about the product, a customer should be in the center. If we talk about development, a dev should be in the center.
I hate "career and career growth".
I hate regalia and titles. I don't want to be called "CEO". I expect to be called "product designer" and expect to call everyone else the same, even if a person writes posts for our Twitter account.
    Where (spoiler: everywhere)
I live in Canada but I don't care much about your location.
    Thanks
Thanks if you've read my post to this point :)
P.S. If interested, all contacts in my profile.

Hey @Zencentric how does your service compare to other no code apps such as Bubble? How do you differentiate?

      1. 1

        Hey!
Thanks for this question. I've been waiting for it :)
On the surface, there is no much difference.
The answer is simple: our service generates great, people-oriented code. Using our service you will able to create real applications not just MVP or landings.
User will be able not only to deploy and test an app, but download it and run locally.
So, our end users are not only people who don't want to code but developers who don't want to waste time for the routine coding but still want to generate great code with just a mouse.
(But currently, we didn't implement everything that I was writing here :) - that's why I need a hand.
As a resume our generated code is just a normal web application. I don't know what actually is bubble app because I can't download it and investigate. How does it work? I don't know either.
        What's done:

        1. Pages and stylesheets designer (pretty much done, say, 80%)
        2. Deployment engine - app can be deployed, run on Heroku with just a click
        3. Some components already done (user can send an email from form).

The example app done without coding is here https://app-productwebapp-a0a4d8b90cf2.herokuapp.com/

You can switch between languages there and send email to yourself.
