Description

This FREE at home reading challenge encourages reading at home when school is out.

In light of the many school closures that have occurred, and the many that are predicted to come, I wanted to find a way to encouragekids to keep reading while school is out.

This encourages students to read the materials that they have at home in a fun and exciting way.

Who is it for?

I created this FREE Reading Challenge that is suitable for all elementary school students, regardless of their age or reading level.

What do students need in order to do the activities?

It doesn't require that students read certain materials, because I know that (unfortunately) not all of our students have access to tons of books. ☹️

It does encourage them to read what materials they do have in a FUN way.

Writing Extension

There is also a writing extension activity that encourages students to keep a journal about the reading activities that they do.

Share it electronically or as a hard copy!

Whether you're able to print it out for your students, or you need to send it to them electronically, I hope this encourages your kids to keep reading while school is closed.
