Who is indie hacking to support the climate?

I've come across a few people trying to build things to support the climate, I haven't gotten around to taking note of them, here are some recent ones:

I loveeee this topic! I want to write about all you guys at thegoodstartup.com, please reply/message me/check out the landing page (not sure what features there are to contact people on here because I'm new haha) if you're interested in being interviewed and featured for free!

My team has been in production with https://tspproject.org for a year. So far we are helping PG&E and 16 of the other major Energy utilities across North America to assess and improve their suppliers on environmental sustainability, delivering value throughout the whole supply chain.
TSP is expanding rapidly. I am looking for a lead developer for this project at the moment.

Hey @smirolo - you might consider posting on Tech Jobs for Good for a developer :)

What kind of dev are you looking for? I didn't see a jobs page on your site but maybe I missed it @smirolo

Hi, I'm currently working on Seedl, a tech job board with an emphasis on positive impact and values.
We think of three features for the moment:

    • a curated list of tech businesses with a positive impact on the climate (green startups, businesses who give back)
    • A newsletter with inspirational stories and tips to promote a more sustainable growth
    • post a job -> plant trees.

We currently have nothing to show, but a landing page should be online by the end of the week :)

I'd love to chat and get some feedback :)

Hi I just joined the community and this is the 1st thread for me to get started. And this is a very interesting topic which I always had in my mind and glad that you shared the info. Yay!

      nice, welcome adhisha!

Yeah, there's definitely a movement growing in this space! I've been working on Forge the Future for a month or two now, building resources for those tackling climate change, and sending out a weekly newsletter on climate-related news and events.

I've also been part of the communities at Impact Makers (thanks @shylands!) and ClimateAction.tech, and bouncing ideas back and forth with @blunicorn about his project Target2030, which is super close to launch - really excited to see it go live!

    Thanks for the share @rosiesherry!

There are lots of projects under development from https://techimpactmakers.com and https://climateaction.tech.

Most are non-profit projects which require volunteers to help out, you can find a list of these and the help they require here - https://airtable.com/shrMSPnwvOnINjowF/tbluarrAvsm9Tvojd?blocks=hide

I've mainly been working on https://fixathon.io and https://climatechoice.co

Day 97 today! Nearly live/finished with the first version of the site 😇Looking forward too seeing the other projects people mention, the more the merrier in this space!

We've been in this space a long time - 17 years and counting. Indie hacking before it had a name over at environmentjob.co.uk.

These are great resources! I'm going to check them all out.
