Affiliate/Referral Software Recommendations?

Hey folks,

I'm looking for a product that will enable me to offer an affiliate programme to my customers.

I sell one off purchases via Stripe and would ideally like to give my customers a URL they can share, and then track the volume of sales.

I would like to support a fellow IndieHacker so if anyone can solve my problem, drop me a message please :-)

Not sure if it helps but I had this saved - https://www.indiehackers.com/forum/best-tool-for-creating-referral-program-affiliate-program-891ed8872c

IIRC some of the tools listed there are built by indie hackers

I have been developing my own self-hosted software since 2004 that does everything a maker needs but it requires some learning curve. Just in case you like the challenges http://turbolifestyle.com/3/1mb/

I looked at all these products and decided it is all overkill. We just built a simple "share the love " page and two emails. In our case we gave a financial incentive, so we needed database columns for coupon code. And some logic to create unique coupon code for the email. All this took about 2.5 hours and no monthly reoccurring charge. A Refer-a-friend addition. Part of bootstrapping is: Get shit done!

Thanks – I think I'll probably go with creating coupon codes :-)

I've been doing a lot of research around affiliate programs that integrate with Stripe. I'd like to run

    1. affiliate marketing campaign: (where affiliates sign up and get paid a commission for a customers that convert after accessing their link)
    2. Refer-a-friend campaign where the friend get's a reward if their friends convert after using their link.

#1 is actually pretty straightforward and there are several solutions that work well... However all the solutions I've found for #2 are all based around sign-ups -> NOT conversions (after someone pays) so they are more focused around getting an email list, then it is around getting paid customers....

The best solution I've seen so far is https://www.getrewardful.com/ and https://linkmink.com/
They both offer great affiliate programs, and both have beta programs for refer-a-friend functionality.

In the end I have continued to pursue Rewardful as their UX feels more polished, their Stripe integration seamless, and their refer-a-friend api looks very promising:

Linkmink is a very close 2nd, and I'm curious if anyone else has used both and would recommend one over the other.

You can take a look at FirstPromoter(I'm the founder btw) https://firstpromoter.com. Those are good and simple tools, but we often get users switching from them because they need specific features, like from more advanced API https://docs.firstpromoter.com/ to handling different use cases like:

      • setting commissions based on pricing plans
      • custom rewards(points, discounts, etc
      • tracking using coupon codes not only links
      • zapier integration
      • multi-level commissions
      • customizable emails for affiliates on different actions

      and so on.

Thank you 🙏🏻 This looks pretty sweet – probably a bit overkill for my needs right now.

I know a lot of software to manage referral campaigns, but if you need just URL tracking this could be a good solution for you https://www.affiliatly.com/. They provide java and php integrations too.

However, you should also give your customers a custom code, instead of tracking URLs. Costs 0, you can customize it and works better (when you are tracking the URL you always have the possibility that people don't buy right away and so your affiliates lose their commission).

This org is local to my town (Victoria, BC):

    I think they're what you're looking for?

Thank you but $1000k+ a month is a bit much for URL tracking

Whoa... I'm so sorry. I haven't looked at their pricing page in a couple of years.

My apologies, my friend. If I could only turn back time...

Haha, it's no problem thank you :-)
